India writes a golden history in sports after 28 years on 2nd April, 2011. It was the final match of ICC cricket world cup 2011. Srilanka won the toss and choose to bat first. The team scored total 274 runs on the loss of 6 wickets in 50 over.
Mahela Jayawardena played very well for Srilanka team and scored total 103 runs with not out. Nuwan Kulasekara also played well and scored total 32 runs. Kumar Sangakkara became a good player in the final also and scored total 48 runs. Tillakaratne Dilshan was also a good player in the ICC cricket world cup 2011 final match against India. He scored total 33 runs. Team of Srilanka played very well and scored total 274 runs by 6 wickets.
Second innings begins with Indian team. Beginning of this team was not very well. Virender Sehwag did not score any run for Indian team. Sachin Tendulkar was also not able to score more than 18 runs for his team. But Gautam Gambhir played very well and scored total 97 runs for Indian team in India Vs Sri Lanka ICC cricket world cup 2011. Virat Kohli also became the hero of the match scoring total 35 runs.
MS Dhoni played awesome in the India Vs Sri Lanka ICC cricket world cup 2011 final match. He scored total 91 runs and remained not out. Yuvraj Singh also helped Indian team with 21 runs and remained not out. MS Dhoni hit a big Six in 48.2 over and won the 2011 ICC cricket world cup by 6 wickets.
