Oh yes, Bollywood is incomplete without love stories, but the frequent usage of the word 'Love' has been a rarity. These films, at least those that have released [LUV KA THE END and LOVE U... MR. KALAKAAR!], were aimed at enticing the youth -- their target audience. PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA does that as well.

Deemed as the most dependable genre [youth-centric rom-com], PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA is amusing, witty, sharp and contemporary, but it does some serious talking as well. Oh yes, it arrives with zilch expectations [bunch of new actors, new director, team of new composers are responsible for this entertainer], but the efforts are worth it and the time, well spent. Unlike those who borrow from DVDs and re-work on characters and locales, 404 is fresh, daring and most importantly, original. 404 is perhaps the first film that depicts bipolar disorder. It's a tough choice. You have to remain factual while depicting this disorder and at the same time, keep the audience interest alive while narrating a story. It's a challenge!

404 isn't a horror film, but there are moments that send a chill down your spine. In fact, it is these moments that elevate the stature of the film. How to manually extract Windows Service Pack files using the command line

This applies to Windows XP, 2000, Me, Vista, 2003, 2008, 7

While there are various third-party utilities you can use to extract Windows service pack files, it is far easier to do it from within Windows.

The steps below will take a Microsoft Service Pack install file and extract its content to a location of your chosing. This is hepful for instances where you require a specific file contained within a service pack to complete the installation of a driver or application.


- Move the service pack install file to your C:\ drive (This will make extracting from the command line easier)

- Open a command prompt window and type cd\ and press Enter (This will change the prompt to C:\> as per below)



- Type SP2.exe -x: c:\SP2  and press ENTER

How to "fix Error 646" when installing Microsoft Office updates in Windows 7

Windows 7 users have recently reported errors when trying to install updates for Microsoft Office applications through Windows Update or through Microsoft Update. The errors codes generated are:

Error code 1 - 0x80070646

Error code 2 - 646

Error code 3 - "Error 1606 Could not access network location %APPDATA%"


This error known by most users are the "646 error" is an MSI installer error that will only occur when the updates are installed via the Windows Update control Panel. As per Microsoft, this problem is potentially a result of an inconsistent/incorrect environmental variable (%AppData%)

Stress not, for the fix is below:

- Open Registry Editor

- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders



- Ensure that the value for AppData is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming
To change the value, double click on Appdata, then change the string to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

- Close Registry editor and try Windows Update again. A reboot is not necessary.

NOTE:
If the problem persists, navigate to the following keys:

DMK MP Kanimozhi Arrested in the 2G spectrum case today on May 7, 2011 by CBI as the bail was not granted. According to sources, the CBI today told a special court that Kanimozhi controls the affairs of Kalaignar TV which received Rs 200 crore bribe from Dynamix Balwa According to sources, the CBI today told a special court that Kanimozhi controls the affairs of Kalaignar TV which received Rs 200 crore bribe from Dynamix Balwa group, a beneficiary in the scam. "Controlling mind of Kalaignar TV is Sharad Kumar but behind the scene the person who is controlling everything in Kalaignar TV is this lady (Kanimozhi)," Special public prosecutor Lalit told the court.While rejecting their bail petition Judge OP Saini ordered their "forthwith" arrest and directed the duo to appear before it at 10 am on Saturday. Kanimozhi and Kumar will be lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail.

After the judge rejected her bail petition, Kanimozhi looked tensed but said that she expected the order. A Raja's wife walked upto her and comforted her.

She also sought permission from the court to get her reading glasses, books and medicines.

Kanimozhi, the daughter of DMK chief and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, has been chargesheeted by the CBI for allegedly accepting Rs 200 crore as bribe for Kalaignar TV, where she is a 20 per cent share holder.

As much as possible, pair your everyday work with your longer-term vision.

Are your everyday tasks coming in the way of your long-term goals?

Many of us have objectives we want to achieve after some time, like becoming a head of business, or setting up our own company. But often we get so absorbed in our daily jobs that we don't go beyond ticking items off our daily to-do list,  leaving us little time to work toward our long-term goals.

If you find yourself in this situation, work on a strategy to change this. Here are seven tips to get you started:

1. ‘Now' is the right time: Many of us waste precious time waiting for the 'right time' to start working toward our long-term goals. We often fear we don't have enough experience or that we don't have enough time to set more ambitious targets. "Procrastination is a trap," says Charu Dewan, head of human resources at LeasePlan India Pvt., a vehicle leasing company. The moment you come up with your longer-term goals is also the best time to start acting on them, experts say. Love, ishq, pyaar, mohabbat is in the air. And Bollywood seems enthralled by it. LUV KA THE END and LOVE U... MR. KALAKAAR! have released, PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA opens this Friday, while KUCCH LUV JAISAA, A STRANGE LOVE STORY and LOVE EXPRESS are slated for release in the coming weeks. In my career spanning three decades, I have never witnessed so many movies with similar sounding titles releasing in such a short span. Oh yes, Bollywood is incomplete without love stories, but the frequent usage of the word 'Love' has been a rarity. These films, at least those that have released [LUV KA THE END and LOVE U... MR. KALAKAAR!], were aimed at enticing the youth -- their target audience. PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA does that as well.

Deemed as the most dependable genre [youth-centric rom-com], PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA is amusing, witty, sharp and contemporary, but it does some serious talking as well. Oh yes, it arrives with zilch expectations [bunch of new actors, new director, team of new composers are responsible for this entertainer], but the efforts are worth it and the time, well spent. First-time writer-director Luv Ranjan ensures that there are wild-whacky moments aplenty, but he also smartly integrates heavy-duty drama towards the concluding moments that camouflage the rough ends in the narrative.

Rajinikanth Recovering Well: Hospital

Actor Rajinikanth, who was admitted to the intensive care unit of Chennai's Sri Ramachandra Medical Center Wednesday night, is now recovering well, said a hospital medical bulletin issued Thursday.

"He is responding well and we are happy with the parameters before and after the procedures in intensive care unit. We strongly hope that he can return to the private room in a couple of days."

Mr. Rajinikanth had been admitted last Friday to the hospital for respiratory and gastro-intestinal symptoms. The hospital, which had earlier declined to divulge much on the actor's condition or treatment, confirmed that Mr. Rajinikanth had been given a procedure to drain out fluid and "some amount of hemodialysis."

According to the U.S.-based National Kidney Foundation, hemodialysis is a procedure in which a dialysis machine and a special filter known as an artificial kidney are used to clean the patient's blood when the patient's own kidney doesn't function well.

Orissa Women Lead Turtle Conservation Effort

The Chief Minister of Orissa has recently praised a federation of women's self-help groups for having led the way to conserve the local turtle population, the Olive Ridley sea turtle.

Olive Ridley turtles have been recognized as an endangered species by the Indian Government.

"Conservation of olive ridley turtles is critical to the livelihood security of Orissa's coastal communities," said Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Orissa, in a statement released by the United Nations Development Program last week.

But how exactly does protecting turtles help these economically-marginalized women? The women, members of Samudram Women's Federation, realized that protecting this species is key for the preservation of the coastal ecosystem, on which their livelihood depends.

This is because turtles feed on jellyfish which are harmful to the fish population, said Mangaraj Panda, a coordinator at Samudram.  "Conservation of turtles helps increase the population of fish. This helps the fishermen and fisherwomen increase their income as fish is their bread and butter," he said. Mr. Panda told India Real Time that their work has increased the status of women within their family and made them part of their broader community's decision process.
