Extraction of natural resources and other major development projects in or near the territories of indigenous peoples is one of the most significant sources of abuse of their human rights worldwide, an independent United Nations expert warned today."In its prevailing form, the model for advancing with natural resource extraction within the territories of indigenous peoples appears to run counter to the self-determination of indigenous peoples in the political, social and economic spheres," the Special Rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples James Anaya told the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
"We refuse to marginalize the role of women in Saudi society and in every aspect, within the rules of Sharia...It's all a matter of interpreting the text.
"Muslim women in our Islamic history have demonstrated positions that expressed correct opinions and advice," he said, citing examples from the era of Islam's Prophet Muhammad in the seventh century.
He said the members of Saudi Arabia's clerical council, or Ulema, praised and supported his decision.

Apparently, money does not buy everything after all, the fans at Eastlands are learning this the hard way. Gone are the days when City would flaunt their money around, and land the best signings the league has to offer...oh, that was not long ago, it was last season!!!!!!! Things have taken a drastic turnaround for City, because they do not seem to be making any progress with the major signings this season, and their fate seems to have been resigned to playing second fiddle to better teams. We have seen the name Manchester City plastered across TV screens and on newspaper sports pages in pursuit of the hottest transfers in this window, but we have also seen them fail to nail any. Alexis Sanchez even openly said he would rather stay at Udinese than take a trip to Eastlands....add that to the prospect of Tevez leaving, and you have disaster....Money can's buy happiness!!!

Don't you just love Arsene? I mean, he is probably one of the only managers of our time that would stand up and stick it up to the fans, and explain why he is a failure.....and get away with it too. Whilst all the other managers are busy trying to buy so and so in preparation for the new season, Wenger is busy trying not to sell. Well, he does have a good cause for so, considering the effort that he has put in the likes of Fab (who is going back home), Nasri and Clichy trying to make them who they are right now.
The sudden twist and turns of this transfer season are a common phenomena that we are fast getting used to, or are the selling sides just money hungry? The answer to this analogy rests not with me, but as a football die hard, your sentiments are greatly appreciated. First they say they are selling, and when offers start streaming in, they hike prices, buyers increase their bids, then they decide not to sell, so that buyers can go out of their way and spend dangerously....This is not a new thing to the game, but the uncanny manner in which it is being done leaves a lot to be desired of the selling clubs....
